National Research Council of Italy (CNR) delegate at Advanced Materials Department

Last week, JSI hosted a National Research Council of Italy (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche) delegate as part of the ongoing bilateral scientific cooperation between Slovenia and Italy.

The CNR delegate also visited our Advanced Materials Department, where Dr. Suraj Gupta, along with some colleagues, presented our labs and facilities, highlighting our energy research—from green hydrogen to solid-state batteries.

Dr. Suraj Gupta is one of the JSI awardees of the bilateral projects with CNR-IFN for the period from 2026-2028, with research focused on solar hydrogen production. The project and the visit marks our strong cross-border scientific cooperation with the Italian research institutes on cutting-edge research topics.
