A new laboratory for X-ray analysis
The Advanced Materials department has recently gained
a new laboratory dedicated to X-ray analysis and characterization. Two X-ray
diffractometers previously located at different areas within Advanced Materials
with their corresponding equipment have been moved to this new laboratory for
X-ray analysis. The X-ray diffractometers now situated at this new laboratory are:
i) BRUKER AXS D4 ENDEAVOR for a general qualitative and quantitative phase
analysis and crystal structure determination of powder samples, and ii) EMPYREAN
X-RAY DIFFRACTOMETER mainly used for detailed structural characterization of
single-crystalline thin films.
