29.10.2024
On October 16th and 17th, partners of ELCA European Lightweight Cluster Alliance meet in Krakow on their yearly assembly.
As partners of ELCA we were there and we had a chance to meet and discuss how was the year 2024 and set an action plan for 2025.
ELCA connects groups across Europe working on lightweight materials for industries like cars, planes, and clean energy. Its goal is to make materials that are strong but lighter, helping reduce emissions and save energy. ELCA encourages collaboration across countries, making it easier to share ideas and technology to build a more sustainable future in manufacturing and transportation.
In the lightweight domain, the Advanced Materials Department’s research activities include the development of ceramic- and bio-based materials for electronic devices with new or improved properties and research on nanostructured materials with the processes for their preparation.
Thanks to our researcher Dr. Jakob König who represented our seat at the ELCA assembly 2024.
