Silver medal for the "green" materials with antibacterial activity

In the framework of the 16th International Exhibition of Innovations (ARCA), which was held in Zagreb from 18 - 20 October 2018, a competition of 150 inventions from 8 countries took place. With the support of the Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation (Institute "Jožef Stefan")  three inventions were awarded with silver medals and one with bronze.

Marija Vukomanović, Srečo Davor Škapin and Danilo Suvorov from Advanced Materials Department received silver medal for the invention of functionalized hydroxyapatite/gold composites as “green” materials with antibacterial activity and the process for preparing and use thereof.
