CONFERENCE NEWS- Basic Science and Electronic Division Meeting in Denver
Blaž Jaklič, Jan Žuntar and Matjaž Spreitzer from Advanced Materials Department (K9) JSI attended this year's Electronic Materials and Applications: Basic Science and Electronic Division Meeting, which took place in Denver, USA from 13. - 16. February 2024. Matjaž was one of the members of the organizing committee of the conference.
Blaž and Jan delivered a presentation at the symposium, related to Electronic and Ionic Materials in Battery Energy Storage, while Matjaž contributed with a presentation at the symposium on Complex Oxide Thin Films and Heterostructures.
Blaž Jaklič's talk, titled Investigating structural changes in epitaxial LiNi0.33Mn0.33Co0.33O2 thin films by high-resolution X-ray diffraction, based on collaborative research with his colleagues from K9 and the Kemijski inštitut - National Institute of Chemistry, was recognized as the best student presentation along with a prize of 250 USD, awarded by the American Ceramic Society. Congratulations Blaž!
The conference was also attended by our visiting scientist, prof. Heli Jantunen, who gave a plenary lecture entitled Towards sub-THz telecommunication: Advantages with ultra-low permittivity dielectrics.
