Fall Meeting 2016 - COST TO-BE

September 28th - 30th 2016, City Hotel, Ljubljana


The 2016 Fall Meeting of COST TO-BE action (for Towards Oxide - Based Electronics) was organized by the Advanced Materials Department K-9 and Electronic Ceramics Department K-5 of the Jožef Stefan Institute, in the City Hotel Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 28 to 30 September 2016.
The Action focuses on transition-metal oxides for electronic applications and covers areas of materials fundamental understanding, as well as their growth and use in the final applications. The research concerns thin films mainly and their heterostructures.

Over 110 participants attended the meeting, mostly from Europe. In addition to oral and poster presentations, it also featured a Management Committee meeting, Core Group meeting and Working Groups meeting. Furthermore, the Nicholas Kurti Scientific Prize for the year 2016 was granted by Oxford Instruments.
