Training programme within Erasmus+
10.7. - 25.9.2017 Martyna Durko
We were happy to wellcome student Martyna Durko from Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland. During her visit at K9 she was involved in the synthesis of ferroelectric perovskite particles with defined anisotropic shape. The main focus was on the topochemical transformation reaction from the template particles into the ABO3-type particles with the preserved shape. The trainee was investigating how to suppress the Ostwald ripening during heating to high temperature which is needed for increase of tetragonality of the perovskite particles. The part of the research was devoted also to the enhancing of the ferroelectric characteristics of the composite particles consisted of the two perovskites, which slightly differ in their unit cell parameters.
