NEW PUBLICATION - Promoting photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rates in layered graphitic carbon nitride through integrated non-noble CoB co-catalyst

Our team at the Advanced Materials Department, led by Dr. Suraj Gupta, developed a low-cost photocatalyst composite to enable solar hydrogen production from water. The group developed metal boride nanoparticles with average size less than 5nm and integrated them with ultra-thin graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets to achieve impressive photocatalytic rates, presenting low-cost alternatives to replace platinum-based systems. The work was accomplished in collaboration with Jeffrey C.S. Wu from the National Taiwan University, amongst other partners.
